Living the high life in Cedar Park at The Alden

I won’t pretend that apartment locating is very glamorous.  But I can tell you it is never boring. I think the average person  would be surprised at all the ways apartments can and do find ways to distinguish themselves from the competition. And that is especially true when it comes to the high end of the market.

That brings us to the latest entry in our Spotlight Series, The Alden at Cedar Park.  We’ve seen every high end apartment in Central Texas and we have never seen some of the community and apartment features they have available.

As you might expect, they have a great location and are very close to Cross Creek Market area. They have a 24/7 gym, parking garage, courtyard and a pool (saltwater, not chlorine).  Something I’ve never seen before is a dog wash station which is not only convenient but can save you a few bucks if you are a pet owner. Where Alden gets very interesting to me is the resident lounge.  It’s, of course, very nice. It has a pool table.  The first thing that sets it apart is how it can handle more than one group of residents using it at a time. It has multiple seating areas and a *private dining room*….brand new to me.  Where is the food going to come from for that private dining area?  Probably the Chef’s kitchen with Viking Appliances that are available. And before and after dinner, you and your guests can hang around the cocktail bar, complete with a wine fridge and a kegerator.  I didn’t even know I wanted that till I saw it!

The individual units have some amazing features too. The first thing you’ll notice as you walk through the 8 foot doors is the 10 foot ceilings. When you stop looking at the ceilings, you’ll notice the hardwood plank flooring underneath you.  You can go across that, past the built in bookshelves and desk, on your way to the private balconies that are available. I love that they have kitchen islands.  The kitchen also has quartz countertops, tile backsplashes, and stainless steel appliances. Having all this in one place is impressive, but there’s more.  They also have wine fridges in the individual units. How cool is that? I feel fancy just describing it!
